We are asking for your help here at Waimanalo School.
Working together we can give our students a whole lot more to prepare them for their future!
"It takes a whole village to feed a child." This means that it takes ALL OF US (a community) to teach a child the skills needed to live a wholesome and productive life.
Volunteers are needed as helpers, assisting teachers, counselors and school staff with cutting, pasting, Xeroxing, listening to the children read aloud, reading aloud to students, assisting them with classwork, contacting other parents in preparation for excursions and other special events and so much more.
Our W.E.I.S. Accreditation--Parent and Community Committee needs parents and community people to give input in evaluating how we can improve and strengthen our students' learning environment. Join us on Tuesday, September 26, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the office conference room.
Contact the school by sending a note with your child or by calling Helene Mattos, P.C.N.C. facilitator at 259-5744 or 259-7263. Leave your name and phone number where you may be reached. I will get back to you!
We will train you on the use of the Xerox machine, mimeograph machine, laminator, computer, etc.
Mahalo for your assistance!
PS: Please join us for Waimanalo School's "Ohana Night" on Thursday, October 12, at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We will have a bake sale and a time of fun, fellowship and friendship bread.
